Independent Consultants of TLC work for themselves. Consultants are considered Independent Contractors, and are therefore not considered employees. Contractors do not have to report to anyone except their local government at tax time. When an individual or business joins the organization, they have the option of simply purchasing their hobby supplies at a significant discount, or, if they would like to create additional income; they may use their discount to build a profitable business. Their sponsor does not require anything from them.
The company does however reward consultants who introduce active and motivated people into the company; by offering them a recruiting bonus. This is independent of their personal performance in the company. This is not a pyramid. Pyramids are illegal. Pyramids are groups where income is generated solely from sponsoring others, and there are no marketable products or service. a result the items are not only considered exclusive, they are also considered
